Your Buyers Guide Terms and Conditions

- This contract with Business Magazine shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
- On the initial verbal booking of your advertisement a confirmation email will be sent to you binding you to these terms and conditions.
- You have the right to cancel your advertisement in full within 7 days of receipt of confirmation of your booking. This must be done in writing by email or mailed by registered post. However, the cancellation period will be reduced depending on deadlines i.e., if you have booked an advert on the 3rd of the month and the copy deadline is the 4th , you will only have up to the close of business on the 3rd to cancel the advert.
- If your advert is booked and cancelled after 7 days, payment is due in full, or if the deadline has elapsed as detailed in point 3, full payment will be due.
- Any adverts which we design will be subject to your approval prior to press, however, if you cannot be reached or you do not contact us by the copy deadline with any changes that may need to be made; we do reserve the right to run the advertisement without your approval. We will send you a letter or email confirming this.
- If you have agreed an advertisement with us and have not cancelled your advert within the allotted cancellation period, or we are unable to contact you regarding your advert design, we reserve the right to run a general advert for you. This design and its accompanying logos will be put together from any detail we can obtain about your company,
i.e., your company website, business information held on other websites regarding your company, hard copy advertisements and any other sourced information.
- Once you approve your advert or we receive completed artwork from you, you will not be able to cancel your advert. This will precede any options you may have within a cancellation period stated in point 3 i.e., if you book and approve an advert on the same day you cannot cancel that advert.
- All artwork and design charges are included in the price to advertisers, however, if an advert is cancelled within the appropriate time frame (seven days after production of your advert) we will reserve the right to invoice you for time spent on production of your advert. You will be charged at a rate of £40.00 per hour or part thereof.
- All invoices are payable on receipt unless otherwise agreed. Payment terms are 50% in advance and 50% on completion before your advert appears on Your Buyers Guide. After a period of 28 days, if payment has not been received, we reserve the right to apply a late payment interest charge at an appropriate rate.
- We reserve the right to allow a 14-day period beyond the agreed publication date for your advertisement to allow for any production difficulties.
- Any companies with charity status must produce a charity registration number to allow for VAT exemption.
- Any advertisement which has been booked will stand on its own merit and will not be based on any editorial copy which runs near your advert, or within its vicinity. We hold no responsibility for adverts which appear next to editorial errors.
- Your payment for any advertisement booked will have no connection to our website layout, design or editorial content and is based purely on its presence within Your Buyers Guide.
- We take no responsibility for any company who cannot be contacted through illness, hospitalisation, disasters, pregnancy or acts of God which they are or are not responsible for in relation.
- Any advert booked is based purely on its inclusion within Your Buyers Guide and is not affected by any editorial content which is separate from any adverts provided by clients or designed by Business Magazine.
